Search other Users
People search in the personal menu
If you are looking for a specific person (from the group of users registered on your OpenOlat instance), the best way to do this is to use the Person search in the personal menu.
The search form contains the corresponding fields with which the search can be narrowed down.

Hint
At least one term must be entered to narrow it down.
In addition, the search term must have a certain minimum length.
People search in the coaching tool
If your job involves managing the users of the OpenOlat instance, you will need the User Administrator role. This role grants you access to user management and allows you to view and edit the data of all users.
To efficiently find a specific user, there is an account search feature that allows you to search for people based on very specific criteria.
A bulk search is also available.

Search for people in the Coaching Tool
The Coaching Tool is designed to support participants across courses. When dealing with many courses and participants, a user search that searches only within the group of people you are responsible for can be helpful.

Finding people in a course
As a tutor, when you click on a course module that can be graded, you won't immediately see the module's content; instead, you'll see tabs related to your duties as a tutor. In the Participant tab, you can select a specific person and track their progress and results in this course module.
Various filter options are available to you. You can also enter a specific name in the search field.
Example:
Course members who do not have access to the selected course module (because they have been excluded) will appear in a separate preselection list titled "Excluded", but not under "Relevant".
