Specialty / Note

With the course element "Enrolment" the participants enrol themselves in one or more groups of the course, for example in an exercise group. You then do not have to distribute the persons to the groups by hand.

In the tab "Configuration", under "Learning groups", you define between which groups the participants choose. With "Select" you add existing groups, with "Create" you create new groups directly in the tab. With "Allow custom order" you determine the order of the groups in the list. You edit existing and newly created groups in the member management.

With "Allow multiple enrolments" you define whether participants may enrol in several groups. Under "Number of groups" you then enter how many.

With "Delisting permitted" you define whether enrolled participants can delist from a group again. Whether a group keeps a waiting list and whether persons move up from the waiting list automatically, you define in the group itself: Group > Administration > Description, options "Waiting list" and "Moving up automatically".

Tip

In the list of the enrolment, the participants open the visiting card of each group by clicking on its name. A meaningful description of the group and the options "All users can see coaches" and "All users can see participants" help them choose. You find the options in the group in the tab "Members": Group > Administration > Members, see Group Administration.

Tip

If you have created learning areas under Course > Administration > Learning areas and assigned groups to them, you can also select these learning areas in the tab "Configuration" under "Learning areas".

Participant view

With "Enrol" you become a member of a group. Depending on the configuration, you enrol in only one group or in several groups. After enrolling, you find your groups on the right in the menu "My course".

Before enrolling, you take a closer look at each group: the name of the group in the list is a link and opens the visiting card of the group with the "Group information". If the display of members for all users is switched on in the group, the visiting card also shows the entry "Members" with the coaches, participants or the waiting list of the group. If you are already a coach or participant of the group, the link opens the group itself.

If a group is full, you put yourself on the waiting list, depending on the configuration of the group. If moving up automatically is switched on for the group, you move up into the group as soon as a member leaves the group.

If delisting is permitted in the course element, you delist at the same place with "Delist". If "Delist" is missing and you have enrolled by mistake, contact the owners or coaches of the course.
