Recording absences

Attendance and absences are recorded per implementation and element in their own Absences tab. Recording at product level is planned.

How do I do this?

Record absences in the "Absences" tab of an implementation. The tab only appears once absences have been activated on the element.

Prerequisites

Absence management must be activated and released for the product or the element type. Activation under Settings tab > Options > Absences configuration.

Course Planner > Implementations > "Implementation" > Absences tab; activation: Settings tab > Options > Absences configuration

Connections

Absences are recorded per event (categories Attended, Authorized, Not excused, Dispensed). From these, the attendance rate is calculated and checked against the permitted absence rate to determine whether a course counts as attended.
