Creating Portfolios

This chapter explains how the OpenOlat Portfolio 2.0 can be used. On the one hand, it contains information for authors regarding the creation of a Portfolio 2.0 template, including integration into OpenOlat courses. On the other hand, OpenOlat users will find information here on how to use the portfolio tasks provided and how to create their own course-independent portfolios. Every OpenOlat user can create a portfolio binder themselves, if the administrators have enabled this.

However, a central element of the OpenOlat portfolio is the assessment portfolio. For this purpose, OpenOlat authors create portfolio templates with tasks and portfolio structures and make them available in OpenOlat courses. There, learners can collect them and continue working on them in their personal area.

In the following chapters, you will learn general information about ePortfolios, how the OpenOlat portfolio is structured and which elements are included, how you can create and organize a portfolio binder yourself and how you can create a specific form of portfolio, an assessment portfolio, using the portfolio template.
